Why Pittsburgh is a Great Place to Study Language
Pittsburgh has the lowest percentage of foreign born residents of any major city in the United States. Only about 3% of the population was born in another country. This percentage is expected to grow at a slower rate than other large cities. The news isn’t all bad. Four schools in the area offer degree programs in foreign languages. Internships are limited, but volunteer programs can be found for students to gain experience while attending college. The city is home to a few international festivals throughout the year. Information on these can be found at Pittsburgh-Downtown.com
